Third Visit and Didn't Disappoint

Sweet Songs and Thatch Caye never disappoint! This was my third visit to both resorts and my first time bringing a group of yogis. Everything from planning to execution was amazingly smooth. Michelle, was so easy to work with - always attentive and immediately responsive! Raul and William were welcoming and provided the warmest hospitality. The group loved exploring the Mayan Ruins with Carlos and horse back riding was another fan favorite of the group! I can’t wait to start planning my next retreat!

Friendly Staff, Amazing Experience

I am someone who doesn’t get out of the country much, but hearing about a Pilates retreat, I knew I just had to go. I must say I was skeptical of the small plane, the van ride on a dirt road, and a boat ride to the island. However, I am here to say, IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! You are in good hands! The staff from start to finish is so incredibly accommodating and some of the friendliest people I have EVER had the pleasure of meeting! This was hands down, the absolute, most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. The staff and the food are out of this world! I will 100% be going back there!!!

I had such an amazing time at Thatch Caye. The location is truly incredible -- you can kayak around the whole island! The accommodations are comfy, the activities are endless (from volleyball to corn hole to paddle boarding to snorkeling trips), the massage I got was out of this world, and the food and drinks were delicious. Daily yoga with Iva was both grounding and challenging, the perfect reminder to stay present while surrounded by so much beauty. The staff are lovely people! Thank you to everyone who made this retreat possible.

Obsessed!!!

ands down the absolute best yoga retreat I have ever experienced! Travel was easy breezy and super safe! Immediately after landing in Belize (ahhhh dreamy Belize), I was greeted by Maile (ask for Maile) with her smiling and welcoming face!!! Everyone knows and loves Maile and she knows everyone and everything Belize from the hot spots to the local secrets!!!!

The island is Perfect! Magical! It’s private and clean and safe and beautiful and the staff becomes family instantaneously.

BFree is the studio from Austin,TX, that was hosting the yoga retreat...again, perfection!!!! Yoga in the a.m and yoga late afternoon or early evening was mixed perfectly with island activities. There were so many options, do everything or nothing at all. Literally returned 5 days ago and am already looking into another trip with Belize Retreats; solo and family style!!!

I had the pleasure of vacationing at Royal Belize during a private yoga retreat hosted by Belize Retreats. I had no idea what to expect, and was blown away with the hospitality, beauty, and food! Royal Belize is an exclusive and all-inclusive private island that is minutes away from the Belize Barrier Reef. When we were not practicing yoga, we hung out as a group on the beach, snorkeled around the island, kayaked, and even jet skied. The staff also arranged a private snorkeling trip to the Belize Barrier Reef. I have snorkeled on several vacations, and never have I seen so much of a reef’s ecosystem in one place! Anytime one of us was thirsty, Polo or Oscar was right there filling our drinks. They even brought out fresh fruit and snacks every afternoon, and any time we had a craving. Did I mention the food? As a busy entrepreneur, I spend most of my day making decisions. It was such a relaxing luxury to have the island’s dedicated chef surprise us with 'lick your plate clean' breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. No menus, no decisions, no stress. And, they asked about special dietary needs ahead of the trip, so all guests were taken care of. Everything tasted so fresh and I could taste the love that was put into it. Thank you Royal Belize for an unforgettable experience I will cherish for years to come. I can't wait to visit Royal Belize again!

This was such an incredible experience! Royal Belize felt luxurious with spectacular hospitality and access to the beach and fun activities the island offers! I loved that post yoga practice I had crystal blue waters to float in, snorkel, jet ski, fresh fruit and cocktails, and all of the meals and were delicious! I will definitely be back!

Royal Belize Bliss

Everything about this retreat was fabulous - how could a private island not be? But two things really stood out to me - the hospitality and the food. The staff were unbelievably accommodating and always ready for anything. Pita bread instead of pancakes? Done. Extra side of eggs? No problem. Even when we left the island the whole staff showed up to waive goodbye and gave us parting gifts. Truly exceptional service. Also, the food! My goodness - it was varied, fresh and the right portion sizes. From lobster to the best fish tacos anyone at the table had ever had it was incredible. I really felt that the quality of the food and the graciousness with which it was served took this experience from a 10 to a 12. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

Copal Tree is Heaven

Copal Tree Lodge truly is a little piece of heaven. Vast rainforests, unobstructed views, fresh, sustainably farmed food, tastefully furnished, clean rooms, and a variety of amenities provide an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The service is outstanding, the staff made us feel welcome and pampered - we are especially thankful for the wonderful help with the Yoga Palapa - everything fresh flowers, fresh water, fans and lighted torches. Our morning yoga classes ended with fresh, chilled coconut water, and our evening meditation classes were surrounded by dancing fireflies. We used Copal Tree farmed , organically grown, grown with the intention to be good to the land, cacao for our cacao ceremony. Everyone at the resort was accommodating and helpful - and the beautiful surroundings make it easy to immerse in nature. Copal Tree is proof that it is possible for humans to do both, live comfortably and in harmony with nature.
